Its all change! Rocky is now show jumping, and has been doing really really well... placed every time out so far accept once where he had the first pole of the first round.. otherwise hes been jumping consistant fast DC's and has also qualified for bath and west grade C 1.15m-1.20m. He also just needs to jump another BN and Dicso double clear before he quals for the regionals... so were very happy with him!
Radar unfortunatley didnt work out, so he went to his new home two weeks ago, where he is ablsoloutley adored. He went to a guy who is planning to do some low key dressage on him which will suit him perfectley. He is turned out daily with other horses, and is loving life which is great.
On the way back from dropping him off, we picked up David who i have now had for 2 weeks! He hadnt done much before we got him, so we have been concentrating on his flatwork recently, and also his hacking as he can be a bit nappy - but its already improving! Yesterday we boxed im up to take him for a longer hack where we experienced some water! To begin with he didnt know what to do, so after pursuading him that it wasnt going to eat him, he launched into it and then quickly leapt out the other side! He did this a few times, before i decided to get off and lead him through, as i dont htink he understood that he could just walk through it! Once he understood what he was being asked to do, he wasled through fine and then we went off for a canter :) we still need to work on getting him more forward and responsive, but he is coming on leaps and bounds and i am really happy with him :)
Last weekend we did a little prelim test just to see how he would react. Here's the test:

Lots to work on - especially transitions, but i was really happy with how he behaved, and once hes a bit stonger and fitter, i think he will make a really lovely horse :)
